I would like to Thank all the teams for making this years RockFest an amazing success. Forty-four teams entered our tournament this year. Men Women and children from 14 to 50 played all day in sweltering heat all in the name of RUGBY!

We had a few problems this year which we didn't anticipate. As tournament director I would like to personally apologize for. Next year we will have these issues corrected.

First off, the Post. Wow what can I say. Between the heat, the black posts and the weak duct tape we didn't stand a chance. The duct tape literally melted onto the posts.

As a result, The tournament started running late.

We will have more referees next year which will keep us from running late. We were supposed to have more help from the union which also contributed to the issue.

As a result, The tournament started running later.

Finally we are aware that a few of you did not receive food and drinks after the tournament. I'm not sure what happened here. Either people left the tournament early and had a field day on the refreshments or some sort of miscommunication occur. Regardless it's partially a product of the other two issues and we apologize in hopes that it will not happen again.

Yours in rugby,

Chris Caufield (Tournament Coordinator)
